Holiday Tea and Holiday Lights

Step back in time and enjoy a leisurely tea time celebration with your Corbin friends at this beautiful two story Queen Anne home on lower south hill. Your tea will be served on resplendent china in a beautifully decorated home with period furnishings. Enjoy a chicken salad croissant sandwich, a scone with clotted cream, jam, two small desserts, and seasonal fruit with many tea options that will tantalize your taste buds. Come experience the Christmas nostalgia of another era in a truly elegant setting. After the tea, we will journey to Manito Park Conservatory to view the Holiday Wonderland lights. Times 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

Christmas Program at the Kroc Center

“Traditions of Christmas” is a Radio Music Hall style show that inspires the hearts of audience members of all ages. Travel on a journey through time and heritage. Tears well up and hearts are filled with respect as the USO  performance takes the stage and our military is honored. Throughout the show, your favorite Christmas classics are brought to life with song and dance.  Crowds are amazed by the beautifully choreographed kick-line tap numbers, and children light up as  we travel north to Santa’s  workshop. The grand Nativity conclusion reminds us all that there is a purpose behind the celebration. Featuring a cast of 70 people, spectacular  sets , live animals, and over 400 costumes,  “Traditions of Christmas “ is truly an experience you won’t want to miss. Times 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Breakfast and Christmas Ornament Shopping

Join us for a wonderful breakfast at the “NEW” Monroe Street Bar & Grill, formally known as Sheri’s Restaurant.  After our lovely breakfast, we will head over to the Old World Ornament Shop which is a wonderful place to do some fun Christmas shopping. Christmas Tour of the Davenport

Christmas in the air and what a fun way to start the season. We will begin our tour at the old Davenport hotel and tour the Christmas Tree Elegance on the mezzanine. We will then take a leisurely walk over to the lovely Davenport Tower and tour the main floor. We will then board the van to the Grand Davenport Hotel and enjoy lunch (on your own). After lunch we will then take the tour around 2:00 pm. There are some great gifts around these trees during the Christmas Tree Elegance. Times 10:00 am to 4:00 am.

Historic Lunch at Snake Pit Restaurant

Join us as we take a drive to the Snake Pit Restaurant, Idaho's oldest restaurant.  We will enjoy a delicious lunch (on your own). The restaurant has a new owner and has been renovated with a fresh new look. Tom, the new owner has taught American History at a Private American High School in Japan and Germany.  We will have the honor after lunch to hear amazing little known facts about U.S. History that was not traditionally taught in school!  Come along and enjoy a scenic drive, good food and  great  conversation. Historic Tour of Greenwood Riverside Cemeteries

It's been said that a cemetery is a museum of local history.  And it's true. On this tour a local historian will show us the graves of some of our early-day pioneers who shaped Spokane. We'll visit, among others, the graves of James Glover, father of Spokane; Anthony Cannon, an entrepreneur who dabbled in just about every field and who founded Greenwood Cemetery; Chief Spokane Garry, a leader of the Spokane Indians during the time of Indian Removal (I.e., moving Indians off their ancestral grounds and onto reservations); Jimmie Durkin, a colorful early-day saloon keeper who was known as the Philosopher of Main Street; and Joe E. Mann, recipient of the Congressional Medal of Honor.  We'll also visit the Haunted Staircase, aka known as the 1000 Steps. After the tour we'll have lunch at the funeral home. After lunch we may go to Fairmount Cemetery to visit the spectacular grave of May Arkwright Hutton and see the mausoleum of Patsy Clark and his family. Times 9:30 am to 1:30 pm.

Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition

Join us on this amazing tour: Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition takes visitors on a journey through the life of Titanic. Along the way visitors will learn countless stories of heroism and humanity that pay honor to the indomitable force of the human spirit in the face of tragedy.   Upon entering Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition, visitors will be drawn back in time to April 1912, when the Ship embarked on its maiden voyage. They’ll receive a replica boarding pass, assume the role of a passenger and follow a chronological journey through life on Titanic – from the Ship’s construction to life on board, the famous sinking, and the modern day efforts to recover and conserve the wreckage for future generations. Times 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

Annual Lion’s Club Turkey Bingo

Turkey Bingo awards some wonderful prizes such as frozen turkey's, hams and sacks of potatoes! New Year’s Eve Rose Parade

End the year with a sunny trip to California with tour leader Laura Schlangen! You’ll see a lot of green as our hotel, The Hilton Garden Inn, is situated on a golf course. We’ll visit the Float Barn, attend the Tournament of Roses “Bandfest” featuring the prizewinning bands of the 2018 Rose Parade.  This gives everyone an opportunity to see the talented musicians, dancers and auxiliary performers in action.  This day concludes at the Warner Brother’s Studios and a special studio tour. The next day is full with the Huntington Library, Art Collections & Botanical Gardens.  That evening we will celebrate with a fabulous dinner, dancing and champagne toast to 2018!
