English Lunch Wednesday, August 18, noon $7.50 in advance by Aug. 11. Some people love English food; others not so much. We picked for you the best of the best so that we won’t hear any complaints. You’ll be munching on Cottage Pie which is a variation on the well known Shepherd’s Pie. Where Shepherd’s Pie uses lamb, Cottage Pie is made with minced beef. As a side you will have carrots & peas or maybe broccoli. And to really entice your taste buds, we’ll serve apple pie with ice cream. Please note that this luncheon is preceded by a free seminar on England see page 3.
Celebrity Chef Luncheon Wednesday, August 25, noon $5.50 in advance by Aug. 17. ManorCare will provide a chicken salad lunch with a roll, fruit and dessert. It will be healthy as well as delicious. Afterward the famous Randy Holman will show you his version of Tai Chi fun. You can all participate if you’d like. Tai Chi is known to help if you have balance problems. It is also good for relaxation.
