2nd Annual Pancake Breakfast

& Indoor Yard Sale

Sat., Aug. 21, 7am to noon

Some of you have already asked about this event because you would like to sell your items in a safe, climate-controlled environment. Just like last year, tables (8 ft or 6 ft) will rent for $20 in advance. Please pay at the front desk.

Breakfast will again include pancakes, sausage, eggs, hash browns & homemade syrups plus 1 glass of juice & unlimited cups of coffee. Tickets are available at the front desk for $4.50 pp in advance; $2.50 for children under 12 in advance. Tickets at the door will be $5 pp and $3 for children under 12.

3rd Walk-Along at Corbin Park
Thursday, September 23, 2010 7am to 1pm

Walking is fun, healthy, and burns calories. This Walk-Along will even do more than that. It raises necessary funds for Corbin, and by golly, the Center needs them. We were just informed that Parks will cut the stipend to Corbin by another 5%! You don’t have to register. You just have to find people to sponsor you. They can do it in a lump sum or they can sponsor you by rounds completed. A round is less than 1 mile! Now is the time to hit up those kids that you have sponsored in the past. You can also ask your friends and neighbors, anyone who is generous enough to support a senior center. Maybe it’s your banker, your financial advisor, or your hairdresser. You can also form a team. We are hoping that every Corbin class/group will have at least one participant who is sponsored by the class/group. You can start at whatever time you’d like. You can walk however long you’d want. Just check in at the registration table and then get going. Together we can make a difference for Corbin. Free Water and snacks will be available at the registration table. If you raise $100 or more, we will provide you with a Corbin t-shirt.
