FARM VISIT ~ “PICK A POSY” *** DIFFICULT
Tuesday, September 7 ~ 11am - 3pm
Tour Leader: Geri Hamilton
Today, after lunch in “beautiful downtown Airway Heights”, we will visit Scott and Nicki, the owners of Tall Grass Farms. This small 10 acre farm grows stunning and brightly colored modern Dahlia Hybrids. This is the time of year when the Dahlias are in full bloom! We will probably get to cut our own beautiful waxy specimen to take home. We will also meet their exotic Highland Cattle which are an old breed known to have grazed the rugged Scottish landscape since the 6th century. It is still a matter of debate as to whether they were an origin of Scotland or imported from Scandinavia, perhaps with the Vikings.
Price: $15.00 Includes farm tour, a cut Dahlia, transportation and tour leader.
