Sewing PictureSandbox Quilters Tues., 9am~4pm~$10/class or $25/month (UN/US)     September Sewers Project is a small cross body bag (good for carrying your cell phone). You will need 1/4 yd of 2 different fabrics, (no fat quarters). If you have a sewing question or could use some direction on your porject, please stop by on Tuesdays, the group will help you in any way they can. Summer/Fall is also a good time to work on you UFO's (unfinished objects). TNT - Monday Night DanceMonday Night Dance  - Every Mon., 7-9pm (HR)            
$4 plus donation for coffee, lemonade, veggies, etc.
Dancing keeps people young and moving. Many people don’t walk as well as they used to but they can still dance beautifully. Are you one of them?  Please try it out during our Monday Night Dance where Theresa and Tom McKay (TnT) provide live music for your enjoyment. 
The Theme Dance "School Dayz" will be on September 19 -- Wear your school colors. Everyone will be entered into the drawing. We have good stuff to give away! 

Birthday Potluck Picture

Corbin celebrated five birthdays on Friday, August 5, 2016 at the Birthday Potluck.  Karla Toll, Pat PEthers, Heide Wehr, Judith Miley and Ernest Wright were the August celebrants. Judith Miley was the lucky winner of a $20 gift certificate donated by The Academy.  Birthday cupcakes were donated by Harvard Park.  Everyone is welcome to the potluck, even if it is not your birthday. The next Birthday Potluck will be on September 2, 2016.  Please stop by the front desk to let them know it’s your Birthday Month. Everyone is invited to the potluck - if you can't bring a dish you can still attend by paying $3.50.



The Corbin Walking Group has had a good time this summer walking around some of Spokane's city parks and nearby neighborhoods. We've been ot Audubon, Minto, Cliff, Freiendship and other parks. We've seen some marvelous views, flower gardens, and homes. Also, we have nejoyed meeting new members andee visitors who have joined us. It's a good way to see more of Spokane and to socialize. We will meet in the Multi-Purpose room on Thursdays at Corbin at 8:45am; the van leaves at 9am. We will take the van ($2pp) to a different starting point each week; we will walk about an hour and return to Corbin for a coffee break. Fresh air, fun, friends and easy exercise. the walks will be lead by Ardyce Pangerl or Patricia Hewitt. For more information please call 509-325-1963

Stretch & ToneStretch & Tone Tues., 8:50 am and Thurs., 9 am in Henderson Rm.
Come and stretch out with Corbin member Lois Crawford. This is a great healthful activity anyone can enjoy. The stretches made throughout the class are very easy to accomplish. It keeps your mind and body going for the day. It is a great bargain at just 50¢ per person. You must give it a chance; you may find that it is exactly what you have been needing!

Mexican TrainMexican Train Tuesdays and Thursdays 12:30pm in the Multi-Purpose Room. Join us for Mexican Train for just .50¢ per person. Mexican Train, also known as simply Trains, is a game played with dominoes. The object of the game is for a player to play all the dominoes from his or her hand onto one or more chains, or "trains", emanating from a central hub or "station". It is an easy game to learn and fun to play.

Darts & PoolDarts & Pool Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4pm
We have a dart board and pool tables available for use at just $1.00 a day. You can come in at any time during business hours and enjoy a game or two. Darts are available at the front desk.

PinochlePinochle ~ Wednesdays and Fridays
Love Pinochle? Come join your Corbin friends for a game or two. We have games 3 times a week; so if your just not that morning person and can't make it to Wednesday and Fridays games at 9 am, you can always come in Wednesday at 12:30 pm and meet the group that plays in Lower South. Either way, you will have fun, and who knows, you might make some new friends.

Wii BOWLERS TAKE ANOTHER TROPHY  WII bowlers competed in the All City Wii Bowling Tournament and  moved from a 4th place into a 3rd place winning position.  There were 21 teams representing 128 players.  Winning average was 231 and was secured by Paul Ruch, Mary Kay Bryan,  Pat Pethers, Joanne Carman and Ron Easterby.  Other members were Carrill Cramer, Bonnie Harland, Jeanne Wilson, Phoebe Daniels, Marlys Hartley,  June Robbins Tom Zdrajkowski.  The Fall session estimated start time will be Sept., 12.  Wii Bowlers Fall session meeting will be Aug., 9 at 9:30am in the Multi-Purpose Room.
